my diabetic dog is very aggresive to the other dogs after meal times . usually resulting in an all out scrap, seems to be getting worse ,

pup 2 years (de-nutted)
diabetic dog 7 years ,

its always the diabetic dog that starts the fight...

any ideas, to break this aggresion.

Silly question but does your vet say that after meals he will be "hyper" or anything like that? I take it he is on the correct diet? (just in case he is in pain after eating?)

Are they both fed in the same room? Who is fed first?

muzzled him after his tea tonight ,,,,shot outside ready for a scrap then realized he had a big disadvantage , other 2 dogs went for him ....bit of barking but no fight...

will continue and see if it breaks the aggresion cycle.

all 3 dogs fed at same time.

Has he always been like this? It would be suggestive of his medical condition causing behavioural changes if he hasn't. Is he trying to get to their food or does he just lunge for them

Anyway of avoiding contact with the others until mealtimes well and truly over (inc removing the food bowls?)
