One of my clients is emigrating to the US and their situation means that they won't be able to take their 6year old GSD Astra with them. She has been with them from 8 weeks old, is fully vaccinated, neutered and hip-scored. They are desperate to find her a good home, anyone interested in a middle aged but otherwise lovely dog, please drop me a line.

She looks lovely, hope you find a home for her.

If his circumstances were different I could see Rollcage going for this girl but I don't think he can due to his work.

I *may* know of someone. She is in East Yorkshire. Would someone be able to get the dog to her? Is Astra good with other dogs - the person I know has a few (!) of her own.

I don't know the answer to the "other dogs" bit, but I will find out, and getting her to E Yorks wouldn't be a problem, either the owners would take her to check out the interested party or I could take her, will let you know about how Astra gets on with other hounds, Ta

Looks like a fantastic dog. I'm jealous of whoever ends up sharing their life with her. And hope they treat her like a queen.

As with all the dogs I post on here for rehoming,(maybe it's my criterion for posting them) I would love to take her and the others, but I'm already polluted with mutts but always get tempted.

Astra has grown up with an 11yr old boy, and is inquisitive with small kids, enjoys meeting people in general, she gets on well with a neighbouring ridgeback and male GSD, but doesn't like malamutes as she was attacked by 2 a while ago. HTH and please keep looking/asking smile

Thanks for the replies.

I can personally recommend this person. Fully qualified and teaches canine behaviour and training. I will ask... I will also email you a few more details.

Thanks smile

Well, she has fallen for Astra cloud9 and would love to take her on if she is deemed suitable bounce

I cannot recommend her more highly thumbup . I doubt there are many people who know more about dogs than she does, being an excellent trainer and behaviourist. She was my course manager on my canine behaviour and training degree course until recently. Astra would have a very lovely and enriched life with her. She also knows GSDs very well, having bred them for several years.

I have emailed Tim, so fingers crossed!
