How many cats is the limit before you cross the line from "'x' pets for companionship" to "mad ol' hatter with cats everywhere"?

0? 1? 2?

I have two, Sqweek and Tribble, both getting on a bit (15 or so) and just spotted a card in the local shop window flogging 2 pure white kittens for a few squid each.

<must... resist... temptation... or I'll be single for ever...>

So long as you don't get to the letting them crap and pee everywhere all over the house stage, you'll be fine! Anyway kittens are almost as good as babies or puppies as lady-magnets!

It depends on how half-assed your care of them is. If they all have cushions with their name on, I'd be a bit freaked out. If however you let them come and go as they please and don't expect any more from them than you get I guess it's fine.

my aim is to have 6 cats, named for top cat's gang. same colours would be good but getting a pink one (choo choo) might prove difficult!

If you can give them a good safe loving home and the existing feline oldies accept them... it's all good...

Once you get into double figures. But if you can look after them and they are all healthy, who cares?

I think puppies work a lot better at this as you can take them for a walk / down your local pub.

That was exactly the image I had in my head smile

Was she the character with the "cat gun" or was that someone else?

Real men don't have cats, they have dogs - big, unruly, intimidating ones.

Man up.

It's not so much the amount of cats you have.

If you have a pic of your cat on your desk or if you talk about your cats to your friends as if the cats are real people........your a scary, wierd cat person and you will die alone in a house that smells of wee and catnip smile Good luck
