My 13yr old cat was diagnosed with diabetes last year and has to be injected with insulin twice a day. I'm currently playing CHF 1 (about 65p) per 0.3ml / 8mm syringe. Anyone know of an online supplier where I can buy in blocks of 100 for lower cost...?

It's an all-in-one jobbie. BD 0.3ml with 8mm needle. Found them at VetUK for under £20 +vat which is a third of what I pay now.

Just be absolutely 100% they are the same. It may sound patronising but we have had people order the wrong ones and not realise then wonder why the diabetes isn't being controlled.

Hope it's going ok for your little cat. I've just been to a CPD meeting tonight for Diabetes Mellitus, it's good to be refreshed on these things.

Thanks all for the info. I'll check out the places.

Bex, yes they are the same as I use now. That said most are marked for 100U and our insulin is 40U so I have a little conversion chart to ensure the dose is correct.

Cat is not perfect. Still weeing a lot but he's 1000% better than he was when diagnosed.
