My, frankly greedy, 6yr Cavalier seems to have scoffed about 2 satchets of cat food...and then had her dinner on top! Last night she started honking and left various piles about the place which ended up with the most cat food I have ever seen(you could do an eating timeline based on the sequence on honks). Over night she did a few spots of poo on the kitchen floor but these had traces of blood in them.

She didn't want her morning bonio but did grab a single Shape after her walk. It's the first time she has ever had any digestive trouble really.

Is she ok, apart from being greedy, or is something more serious probably going on?

Considering what some dogs eat, cat food is very much right at the bottom of the list of dangerous things dogs can eat

Shouldn't do any long term harm, just upset tummy for a few days, our lab always trys to sneak a scoff of cat food but never cased any serious problems. Make sure she drinks plenty as could get dehydrated which is more serious.

Cheers, she is pretty bombproof normally - especially for a Cavalier!

Our Cavalier is a greedy (but fussy) little sod and loves Felix cat food and go-cat...and we do not own a cat smile

Mine love diving into any cat food bowls, my old pair used to spot the neighbours front door open and belt straight into their kitchen to pinch their moggy's dinner!

dogs that need higher protein content are sometimes prescribed cat food, they eat cat poo since it is considered a delicacy amongst most dogs, no harm eating their food as well....

They would happily eat the whole cat, and seeing as cats are made from cat food then they will be fine.
