Keep your eyes peeled for these fellows in your garden or local retail park at the moment.

A lovely sight and interesting to see the little pink bits on top. I think I saw a couple of these in my garden last week but couldn't get close enough to be sure. I did however see two Redwings in my hedge yesterday which was a treat, no doubt driven closer to domestic gardens by the cold weather.

We're expecting an influx any day, they really are beautiful little birds.

Google your county bird report/news page to find sightings in your area. Most are updated at least once a day. smile

Great pics central. What kind of camera did you use to take them?

I've yet to see any in this part of Northants. Just the usual suspects on the feeders - finches and tits and the odd robin.

The Blackbirds have already seemed to have paired up.

We usually get a few flocks in Edinburgh. Haven't seen any yet myself but I'm hoping to smile

Still awaiting the arrival of waxwings down here, but we have had (every day) loads of long tailed, blue and great tits on the feeders, as well as chaffinches, a song thrush or two and a pair of black caps (the female sporting a reddy-brown cap).

biggrin Just saw one in a tree in the school field this morning when I was walking home - wish I had my camera with me as it was so close!
