I rub her belly. It doesn't matter what mood she is in she can be tearing round the house with a toy but if I get her to stop and roll over then stroke her chest/ belly for about a min she is out cold.

Is this some odd design flaw?

Anyone else have dogs with odd habits?

I have the same issue with my wife, comes in handy if she gets over excited whilst handbag shopping.

Mine loves it when you tickle his armpits - he gets a very spaced out look in his eye and completely calms down if he has been hooning about.

Dog does this. Scratch his little chest and he calms right down.

They are odd. Millie will fall asleep if you hold her nose (security?). Sunny will sleep if you just hold his paw.

Most (good) dogs will calm down when you rub them. It's a way of submitting to you, and good dog training. Plus, you're like God to your dog. Imagine your creator hugging you. You'd calm down too. Anyway, plenty of animals do this. No big thing.

It's not so much the calming down I just find it funny that she falls asleep, it's like having an off switch
