So I havent been back to my flat for a while and my flatmate has been lookign after my fish.

I popped back this evening and noticed one of the NT's has what looks like a white cotton wool type substance growing on his face and tail. Another of the NTs has a much smaller amount also growing on the tail area.

Questions:

1. What is it?
2. How do i make them better?

Thanks blade, what did you treat them with?

Marf, I've had a look at Ich on Blades link. Im not sure it is that. It doesnt look like cysts as such, but like a cotton wool type fungal growth?

Just looking for an old topic i started and happened on this.

I narrowed it down to some kidn of fungal infection. After treatment it still didnt disappear. It hasnt got any worse though, hasn't spread to any other fish and that particular tetra is still going on fine!
