French Bulldog and ear infection

I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this. We have a 4 year old Frenchie who has been suffering with an ear infection for 2weeks now
Vet did tests and it is a yeast infection, been licking his paws on and off as well. Have been prescribed an ear flush and drops.
Had a check up last night and not clearing up, Vet suggested next step ear canal flush under general anaesthetic. Was given itemised costing , total price of £1500.
Just wondering if anyone else has other Frenchie owner has been through this

Hey. Unfortunately bully breeds are prone to ear infections. A flush isn't necessary yet, go with the long lasting antibiotic ear drops that they put in and oral antibiotics. A flush is a last resort and you're only two weeks in. Is he generally a yeasty dog with any other skin folds issues or paw cysts etc?

Many times when we had our Frenchies.

Anti histamines (half), whatever tablets they ve given you and 3 times a day ear drops and spend 5 mins or so massaging the bottom of their ear canal, if done properly this will result in stuff being flung everywhere, I couldn t comprehend just how much used to come out of their ears!

I m sure we used to get anti biotic / anti inflammatory drops too or similar.
