Humans can be allergic to nuts, or dairy, or whatever, but we're lucky because we can eat lots of different types of food, so you can avoid what you're allergic to.

Do animals get food allergies? What if you're a squirrel who's allergic to nuts? Or a baby mammal that can't handle milk? Would be a bit difficult!

You'll die and decrease the surplus population

I think they do, our dog can be funny to some stuff which I know other dogs aren't, a bit of boiled egg makes her....runny

I do see some dogs are on grain free diets in some groups I am a member of.

I'm not sure exactly what causes a diarrhoea bomb through my hound, but I know that gravy contains it.

She's very settled on a hypoallergenic diet, and seems to love the taste. We just have to be careful with treats. 100% dry meat seems to work.

100% they do.

Our GSD, who is over 12 now, went through a hideous 6 months several years ago with anal furunculosis, which went undiagnosed for ages. Eventually a specialist discovered that he’s allergic to…….beef!

Kept him off that and he’s been right as rain since. We do have to be careful, people offer him a dog treat (even the vet) and when we check the ingredients, there’s sometimes beef in there.

One of our cats is allergic to too much salmon protein. He gets a horrible lumpy dermititis with it. We keep him off the salmon cat food and it goes away.

Animals having food allergies is one small step away from dogs self-identifying as cats.
