There are heaps of them here is Southern Spain right now . They are really tame . Going in the house to pick up crumbs etc .

What is the bird ?

Wow, that's a Stresemann's Bristlefront, the world's rarest bird. Actually, looking closer, he's right, it's a sparrow.

These birds are quite bold and very keen on seeing what food we may have. They will come in our apartment and I have to chase them out . I have learnt not to feed them as they come in force. At one point I had about 6 of them sitting on me . I won't do that again as they poo on you smile
They are much more confident than UK birds. The Robin in our garden in the UK will get close ,these Spanish Birds are very friendly.
