In the last few weeks a bird/birds have targeted our shed for aerial bombardment. Not a random assault, but a precision strike on either door in the same place.

I initially suspected they were perching on the wing mirrors and then stting inwards on the door, but some of it looks too far away so maybe they are sitting on the roof?

I have not caught the perps in the act yet but I am suspecting wood pigeon as this sort of behaviour suits them to a tee.

This car normally gets cleaned twice a year if it's lucky, so this is quite a nuisance, as driving around with both doors coated in white crap is a step too far, and I don't generally care much for appearances. The other parents at the nursery with their Teslas, Cayennes, RRs etc probably already think we are some sort of charity case.

Any bird experts out there? Is this behaviour temporary? Or have they formed a lifelong habit? Any advice to stop it (preferably wrong answers only although this is PH so it goes without saying).

Is there a tree above it?

If not they're the 617 Squadron of the bird world.

Had the exact same thing here many a time, and caught the culprit doing it, which was / is a Blue Tit seeing itself in the mirror
and going nuts at the reflection. Wash the crap off and put a cover over the mirrors, I bet it won't happen again until you remove
the covers.

Blue tit is a good possibility, I wonder if it is a protest against me not refilling the sunflower hearts...
