Around a month ago I started looking for a new member to our small family as we had lost our last cat around six months ago. We looked at another Sphynx and decided to try another breed. We picked a Russian Blue from pets4homes. She's 3 years old and we got her from a breeder, she couldn't become pregnant and was bullied by the other cats. She's very timid but very loving. Here is Matilda.

Great choice!
There are also British Blues - a bit chubbier and more dim-looking.
Here's a vintage advert for Sheba which might have sold more cats than cat food (as I recall reading in 'Campaign'!)

Matilda is beautiful, and it’s great you’ve given her a home after her being bullied.
2 rescue Sphynx incoming in the next week or so. 3 year old brothers from a divorced family.
They’ll join our other 3 year old boy and 12 year old boy (both also Sphynx).
Before I met my wife, who already had the now 12 year old, I wasn’t keen on them, and had always had outdoor moggies (which I still love), but they are amazing wrinkly bat eared psychopaths with a very dog like clinging/I adore you attitude.
Will post some pics when we get them.

Given how timid she is, and how she was bullied before, do think caefully before introducing an intruder into the house.
It won't be till next year. She is becoming more confident everyday, she slept on the bottom of the bed last night instead of under it, she is responding more to her name when i call her, she loves her feathers on a stick that we play with every day, she sits on my lap most evenings and we've just let her venture in the garden for the first time, she had never felt grass before and wasn't too sure.Gassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
