Whilst tidying up the garden I noticed the following on one of the garden chairs

My first thought was it was a small breakfast cereal pellet dropped by a bird - but when I flicked it off the chair it disintegrated so I'm less inclined to think it's that.

Next thought (somewhat guided by Google images) is a owl pellet type of thing - but I've only ever seen those full of fur and bones.

Has anyone got any idea what it might have left it?

yuck after you...

We are now thinking magpie pellet - although before today I wasn't aware that magpies regurgitated pellets

It looks like a picnic bar with the chocolate licked off.

Can't make out the size but I'd say Magpie or Blackbird. Not many bones or fur so not an owl / raptor.

Yes, but who is going to test this hypothesis?
