Unusual birds nest locations
Discussion
I recently discovered this wrens nest tucked in between the rotating cable guides under the ramps on my four post car lift.
The wren continues to occupy it despite the lift being raised up and down on a regular basis. It even hops out of the nest and flits around the workshop whilst I am standing there and then returns to the nest.
I haven't inspected the inside of the nest to see if there are eggs or chicks.
I also had a robin nesting in one of the nuts and bolts Hopper bins hanging from the wall which fledged chicks successfully and again didn't seem bothered about human activity in the vicinity.
Anybody else had any birds nesting in interesting or unexpected locations?

No Photo, I'm afraid.
My TVR has been sitting on the drive, waiting for me to get round to having the power steering overhauled.
A few weeks ago I decided to make sure it started properly.
Sure enough it did (I have the battery isolated).
I let it run up to temperature, but then realised I could smell burning.
I quickly turned off the engine and saw smoke coming out of the offisde bonnet vents.
I opened the bonnet, and something the size of a blackbird had built a nest on top of the exhaust manifold,
and was smouldering gently. No scrambled eggs to report, the birds were long gone.
The TVR goes in for fixing next week.

Chap round to do some work on the house, i'm helping him put the tower up round the back, robin kept landing on the tower and telling us off.
Eventually because we didn't leave as instructed he landed on an upturned plastic rubbish box sitting at an angle inside another one up the right way, and disappeared underneath, later on i had a poke nose and sure enough there's a cosy nest protected from all weathers.
All hatched and fledged.
