I'm currently reading 'Charles' by Michael Joseph, in which 'The Honorable Company of Cats' is described. I could find no mention of it on the internet, not even Wikipedia. Creating a new page there is not a complexity I wish to spend too many weeks on, so I'll use the power of PH to get 'The Honorable Company of Cats' online such that others may find it.

The Honorable Company of Cats was founded in the 1930s to raise money for sick animal dispensaries in London districts.

President:
Mlle Alicia Markova's black cat 'Tinker'
Vice-President: Michael Joseph's Siamese cat 'Charles'

Patrons:
Mansion House cat 'Richard Whittington', owned by Miss Ennis Twyford, daughter of the then Lord Mayor
The Marquis of Casa Maury's cat, 'Marina'
Beverley Nichol's three cats 'Mr X',' Cavalier' and 'Parker'
Val Gielgud's Hugo
The Manchester Deanery cat 'Binky Bill', owned by Miss Sheila Williams

Committee:
Over a score of cats famous in their own right or by virtue of their owners' celebrity -
Yvonne Arnaud's 'Minerva'
Nathaniel Gubbins's 'Sally' (probably the best known cat in all England)
Collie Knox's 'Peter'
Marie Lohr's 'Coronation Corrie'
Max Saltmarsh's 'Victoria'

An inaugural luncheon was held at the Mansion House.

Just tried a google and it works smile

PS For all cat lovers, the book 'Charles - The Story of a Friendship' is well worth reading. And it has a famous poem at the end (which I'd seen before but hadn't connected it with the author of the book).

If it's only mentioned in that book it would fail notability standards, the wiki police might well knock it back as a subject. You need to find another reference to avoid that. If the cat attendants are society people then the luncheon might have been reported in the papers.
