Dont have 100% trust in online reviews.. so ...

Can anyone recommend a decent dining pub with dog friendly B&B?
We're in Aldermaston but doesn't need to be close, happy to drive for a good stay.

A long haul but the The Durham Ox in Crayke near York is superb and (very) dog friendly.

Not been since pre-covid and may have changed owners but was great for dogs.

Lovely place to stay, and they have a few dog friendly rooms.

We were only there a couple of weeks ago - isn't a million miles from you either.

We've never stayed, but have eaten here with our pair many times. Very good too.

Loads up here in North Norfolk, my in-laws have stayed with dogs at
Red Lion, Cromer https://www.redlioncromer.co.uk/dog-friendly/
The Pheasant, Kelling https://www.pheasanthotelnorfolk.co.uk/
The Hoste, Burnham Market https://www.thehostearms.com/
The Globe, Wells-next-the-Sea https://www.theglobeatwells.co.uk/
Briarfields, Titchwell https://www.briarfieldshotelnorfolk.co.uk/
Marsham Arms, just north of Norwich https://www.marshamarms.co.uk/
Georgian Townhouse, Norwich https://www.thegeorgiantownhousenorwich.com/
The Victoria, Holkham https://www.holkham.co.uk/visit/things-to-do/eat-s...

These are in the past 6 years or so so check if they still take dogs!

edit - eaten at these multiple times except The Hoste where we've only eaten once but it's still a well recommended pub

I was at the Globe last November, just before knocking my knee and totally tearing my quad tendon. Recommend the pub; don't recommend tearing a quad tendon.

The Hoste is awful, dogs or no dogs. Way overpriced, lousy service and rammed with Chelsea expats…

IIRC the Victoria at Holkham is bang opposite the entrance to Holkham Beach. Fantastic expanse of beach, I have ridden my horse there a few times.

Google says:

Are dogs allowed on Holkham Beach?
Holkham Beach - Holkham
One of the biggest challenges we face is protecting these birds from disturbance. Dogs are welcome on Holkham Beach all year round, but from 1st April to 31st August annually, we have a dogs-on-leads policy in the most vulnerable areas of the beach, leaving over 70% open to walking off lead under close control.
