We have a nice garden bird bath that has been a magnet for all sorts of birds over the years. During the recent cold spell the water froze and cracked it, so it would not hold water. I repaired it with a special ceramic repair kit with success, it looks good and does not leak.
But,? I have not seen a bird go near it for the last month or so. Is it just because its been so wet and the birds have plenty of water around. Or does my repair scare them off.

Any comments?

I'd say with the wet weather we've been having and the drop in temps that the last thing birds want to do is get wet. It is extremely energy sapping at a time when food isn't abundant.

When it's warm they will be back ducking in it.
