Evening all. Well today was a st one, my Sphynx Indy who was 17and a half years old had to be put to sleep today. He had a prolapse just over a week ago, and it happened again this morning. We knew it was the end as he was also breathing heavily through his mouth and panting heavily too.
He was a great cat who loved life and was a great character. I used to walk him on a lead and harness and let everyone pet him.. I was asked if he was a dog, I was told a woman had one of those but with furr and someone said he felt like a snake ????. But it was great to let people stroke and play with him as they are still quite a rare site.

There's only one Indy and he's shuffled off this world. May you rest in piece now my little friend.

Sorry to hear. We said goodbye to our girl last week, she was 16 and the house feels empty without her. It does get easier and you need to remember how much of a good life you gave them!

P.s, lovely looking cat. I think they’re great!

Thank you. We had KFC this evening, it felt so unusual to not be fighting a cat off..

Sorry to hear about your loss.

We lost ours at the age of 17 or so last year and still find it hard to talk about. Still find it odd not having a little creature round the house.

So, today was emptying all his bedding and taking it to the cattery, that was hard as these folk where in our wills, if anything was to happen to us both he was to live his life out at the cattery. He used to stay indoors with the owner as well, curled up in front of the fire. when it was cold.
I also dropped Indy at the local pet Crematorium, I'll be collecting his casket tomorrow.

Thank you again for your kind words.

Horrible time for you.

My two will be 16 in March......at the moment they both seem very well, although I think hearing and eyesight isn't what it was......

I got him back from the crematorium this afternoon in his cat casket. A small whiskey for him this evening.

At least he had a long and happy life. And his soul is with you always.
