I'd say that's a thrush in winter colour's, is it blackbird sized?

Maybe a Robin if it's a small bird?

Need size guide but I’d guess this years Robin too. And yes they are often surprisingly bold and friendly. Especially if you have mealworms!

Thanks , I know it’s not a Robin, I’ve already got two of those and they’re a lot smaller.

Thrush could be correct, if so I’ll name him/her scratchy.

Yep, about blackbird size, although I think it’s a young bird.

Robins being friendly is actually robins being aggressive. They are very territorial. And the overestimate how fierce they look. They'd be humiliated if they understood that Xmas cards aren't warnings.

Couple of times I’ve had 5 Robins in the garden at once. Got a bit rowdy.

Does look like a bit like a Mrs Blackbird, but surely the OP knows what they look like…. not exactly rare.

Thank you for that, I’ll have to rename her.

Unfortunately my bird identification ignorance is genuine, I know a few obvious ones, but this one I wasn’t sure of.
