Has anyone used a stroller for their dog ? Our Westie did his left ACL a couple of years ago and has now done his right one by the look of it. The vet has given us some metacam and he is booked in for a scan, but before that, we are due to spend next week at a cottage in the Cotswolds. Obviously him walking is out of the question and carrying him for any distance is rather uncomfortable, as he is 12kg.
So, we managed to pick up a stroller off Facebook a couple of days ago and after making a few adjustments it is ready to go. We have been out for one trial run and he seems OK in it. He does usually walk very slowly, as he likes sniffing absolutely everything, so we did stop at some of his favourite spots and let him have a sniff for a few minutes and he did seem to like looking round from a slightly higher vantage point. Practically, I guess it's no more difficult than having a baby in a pram, but I would be interested in any advice or experiences with using one.

Yes we use one for our Pekingese, if you go down steps make sure to pull behind you as apposed to push so you don't loose your precious cargo out the front.

I have noticed he does adversely affect the weight distribution to say the least laugh

i've been using a dog stroller for my dog for nearly a year. he's 18.5 years old, has severe arthritis and can't walk much at all. he loves going out in the stroller.

I was surprised how much our dog seems to enjoy the stroller. We are taking him out once a day, so us and him can get used to it before we go away on Friday. We are stopping off a couple of times and letting him out for a little wander and do his business, but when we are wheeling him along he is looking round at everything and looks to be quite happy.

That's lovely, might we have a photo of the OAP?
