Does IR Affect Nesting Birds
Discussion
A little bird has built a nest in a location close to a power outlet. I’ve just installed a small camera so my kids can watch the process.
My question is, if she’s sitting on the egg, will the infra red from the camera impact her at night? If so, I can turn it off but would prefer to have the IR.

I guess this reply is too late, but I had a camera with IR in a nestbox, IR was on all the time and it didn't seem to bother the birds at all. Pretty sure it's what SpringWatch do too and I'm sure they would avoid disturbing the birds if possible. My question is, if she’s sitting on the egg, will the infra red from the camera impact her at night?
