ID this skipper?

Hi all
Saw this little fella, 2 of them actually yesterday.
I think its a skipper butterfly. From my little fold-out guide it looks most similar to either little skipper or essex skipper. Im in Dorset if that assists.

I'm still torn between Small and Essex. Need to go back and get better photo, chances of that happening? hmmm.
distribution map on the butterfly site for the Essex does reach as far west as Dorset. Ooh aarr moy luvver
