OK Folks,

What bird did I see earlier ?

It was about the size of a large tit / finch, had a mostly black / dark grey body with black chest, had a few longer white flight feathers ?

My guess would be a mutated something or other ....

possible... it was more black though..

with a few white feathers on its wings

edit - I guess they might vary... seems quite rare, never seen one before

What was the size?
What song or call was it doing?
What activity was it involved in?
What is your local environment?

I live in the Wye Valley in South Wales, we tend to get Redstarts for a few weeks around now, and Black Redstarts in the winter. Not sure what else it could be- Pied Wagtail?

Yes, I've looked at all the identification charts and this one is probably the closest ... that or another one that is only found in America
