I don’t think my new neighbours like cats
Discussion
We had new neighbours move in just before Xmas, they have totally blanked us every time we have tried making conversations.
Fair enough we thought. However our other neighbour to the rear pointed out today they had put anti cat spikes all around their garden to stop our cats using their garden as a shortcut.
We have never had a problem with the old neighbours about our cats messing in there.
Guess they are just miserable gits.

most likely upset with cats soiling their garden, looks like they take a bit of pride in it
That is the rear neighbours garden they have no issues at all with our cats. and we have never had complaints about our cats spoiling in the 20 years we’ve lived here.pinchmeimdreamin said:

Maybe a bit more balanced? We have never had a problem with the old neighbours about our cats
Guess they are
Ive had to put some spikes up on my fence to make sure the cats don't come through my garden, main reason is cat poop, other is my dog doesn't entertain cats and the last thing I need is a cat in pieces. My old neighbours totally understood when I spoke to them, they had a cat that used to tease my old dog, the spikes saved any upset.
At my old place a neighbour put those up as he had an issue with "my" cats pooping in his garden after he put shingle down over the whole garden - apparently his dog and cats NEVER did it and it was just mine; he felt a bit silly when I showed him video of his cat chitting and then 30 mins later him getting in a huff and flinging his cats st against my back door. Some people are just odd.
Either way the cats can walk straight over those spikes - some will slow down a bit and tip-toe across but most cats don't seem bothered by them.

I’ve never complained to any of my neighbours but indeed I would prefer if if their cats didn’t crap in my garden….
I wish I knew who's bd cat was doing it. Would be ideal if it was next door as I could just give it back to them over the fence. I'm sure they'd understand. Gassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
