Hi all - I'm after a small tropical tank. I guess a max 30, maybe 45l but wifey insists it has to also be decorative so no square tank on a hideous black ash style cabinet.
She likes the styles such as the Bi-Orb acrylic tank and I want to check what these are like. They look nice and modern, not too big and reasonably easy to keep but anyone here have one?
They also seem to have their own lava rock base and fake plants - personally I'd prefer sand/gravel - can this be used instead? Likewise all the accessories are fake plants - again I guess no reason live plants can't be substituted?

We don't want many fish - a small shoal of tetras or similar plus a couple of cleaners should do us fine but happy to hear views smile

Easy to operate, easy to clean, have Tetras and Corys in ours.
Fake plants, and some of the ceramic rocks, and a tree trunk affair.
Clean 5-10 litres water a week, filters bought from Amazon every 4-6weeks

We have the 60l orb.

Invest in one of the quiet USB air pumps for about a £10 note, your ears will thank me later, probably the quietest pumps on the market.

Setup and then if water quality ok, add fish, best leave around 4-6 weeks for water to properly stabilise

Thank you for that. I just like the look of them tbh smile
Out of interest how many of each fish type do you have in yours? Would love to see a pic if you have one?

I’ll post a picture tomorrow, won’t work from my iPhone for some reason.
I think from memory we’ve about a dozen fish, which is about right. Again from memory it’s fish size per litre, and I think ours worked out to just over 300mm total length.. so a dozen fish each roughly an inch long (25mm)

Fish are reluctant to show this morning after having the tank cleaned yesterday, they'll have settled back to their normal behaviour by tonight..

That's lovely, thank you so much. Pretty much the sort of thing I'm after with a small shoal.
Really like their more unique designs and they just make the whole thing more interesting
