This food (which will remain nameless for the minute) is recommended by quite a few on facebook forums with some claiming it sorted their dogs skin issues.

However, the dog trainer we are dealing with said it had quite a low meat content (which i agree with on the face of things compared to orijen).

Is this a decent food to be giving a puppy? I dont know if its good or a coincidence but since starting this food energy levels seem higher.

here's the blurb:

I'd say that protein per cent is getting a bit too much for a dog.

Many of the better quality foods don't have cheaper grains in the mix so should help with skin issues.

For a while now we've moved away from using just one food, we stick to one brand but vary what variety the dogs have so they get a variance of fish and different main meat contents, three dogs all doing very well, 13 year old Vizsla very healthy for age, all more interested in their food now they get a change.

Just clicked on one of the ingredients of what we buy, the fish based one as it happens, protein 27%, fat 16%, fibre 2.5%, ash 7.5%
