Had to say goodbye this morning

Apologies up front, I'm still raw from this morning.

We had to put Rocky to sleep this morning after weeks of being ill.

Still not quite sure what exactly was wrong as it required further tests but it had something to do with fluid in his stomach.

It was the 2nd hardest thing I've had to witness. My wife, daughter and me were present when he went to sleep.

We will miss him so much.

I feel so silly. I never thought I would feel so devastated.

This morning was the first time I came downstairs without him greeting me at the back door (ready for his breakfast!).
