What are you dog owners using for flea and worm treatment ? We have just got a 10 month old Shih Tzu after not having a dog for a long time. Also how often do you treat for both ? Thanks.

Drontal every 3 months and Advocate monthly. If you're late with the Advocate, they'll be infested and it's a right PITA to sort out. Both are cheaper online than from a vet.

Our dog has been on this for 10 years now https://www.csjk9.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?i... never had fleas and if he is bitten by ticks which has happened a few times they are dead by the time you find them.

Lol, reminds me of my mum who is a bit of a hippy and loves alternative treatments, she had to get her house de-flea'd when she tried natural flea treatment on her dog, she now uses the proper stuff.

We have a pet plan for our 3, Drontal (supposed to be a tasty bone, well mine won't bloody eat it) for the wormer and NexGuard for the fleas, it does ticks too, so far no issues.

Speak to your vet. This can depend on where you live and what the risks are. For example, we live and walk the dogs on Exmoor so tick prevention is critical. Bravecto is very affective and covers fleas as well.

I use a tablet called 'Prazimec-D' which does fleas, ticks, lice, mange, and various worms.

1 tablet per 10kg, and they cost ~€0.5 a tablet, so pretty cheap.

Works a treat. They have a variant for cats too.
