Pine Martin, stoat, weasel?
Discussion
Wonderful creatures - I was privileged anough to spot one where I live (Nortth Cumbria) a year or two ago and think I may have posted on here about it at the time?
They are unmistakable when you see one - we have quite a few Polecats around here but PMs are really quite different and much bigger with an almost cat like face.
Great photos BTW, so lucky to have them come up to the house.

My in-laws live in the Highlands and have them eating bits of bread & jam at the kitchen window. Remarkably happy to come right up.They are unmistakable when you see one - we have quite a few Polecats around here but PMs are really quite different and much bigger with an almost cat like face.

Nice spot.
Those bifolds are terrible quality ours lasted like 5 years before we replaced them.
Anyway I digress. Pine marten. Cool.
Those bifolds were hand made in a local carpenters and are already 7yrs old so I’m afraid your wrong. They were made to suit opening. A bit like everything in the house as it was a refurbishment of a 250yr old stables. Those bifolds are terrible quality ours lasted like 5 years before we replaced them.

Ps yes the pie marten is cool.

The reintroduction of which has done wonders for red squirrels.
Is that a sarky comment or are they doing something beneficial for red squirrels, such as killing grey ones? Genuine question, I've no idea and I am a townie.shambolic said:
