I know it's a grass hopper thing, but it's huge. So I was wondering is it something special?



And next to a tennis ball for scale..

It's a proper grasshopper, which make a continuous 'whirring' sound, as opposed to crickets, which 'chirp'.

I heard the first of these today too.
