Help - cat scooting!
Discussion
Hello pet PHers,
I'm hoping someone might have had a similar experience of their cat doing this. My feline is scooting across the floor, as if she's uncomfortable and needs to rub her behind.
She's a big cat - near 5kg, so I wonder if I need to adjust her diet, which is currently a small bowl of cat cereal in the morning and half a pouch of meat which she eats in the late afternoon.
Could this be something a de-wormer would sort out? I've given her a couple of these in the past, not certain it made much difference.
Cheers.

Quick google of 'cat rubbing bottom along floor' gets a lot of responses incl constipation, worms & anal glands.
Does the cat get enough to drink - we had a few bouts of cystitis with our female cat Lily which were - on vet's advice - resolved by putting a couple of spoons of water into her wet food.
Trip to the vet to tie it down would be a good idea.
