Here's a few pictures of Reggie, our first dog. So excited to have a puppy in the house after years of cat ownership. Proving to be quite hard work, as expected. Any tips would be gratefully received!!

Super cute! congratulations smile

MAS are quite high drive, very intelligent, often can be quite barky and they will need an outlet for those natural skills or could potentially end up with problems if they are bored.

My suggestion is get signed up to a 'good' training class, puppy, then adolescent, then life skills.... and then find something that will give the pup a job... (eg tricks, freestyle obedience, agility, rally, flyball, etc etc). They are great to train because they are bright and they really enjoy it - find something you can enjoy learning together.

A few of my clients own them, I've had a few who have been pretty successful and they are a joy to teach because they pick things up quickly and love training.

Thanks for such an informative post! yep we have puppy training lined up along with lots of in house discipline, one thing we have noticed today is he is trying to boss us around by barking and dragging us to his little pen the little bugger! Other than that he's a total joy to be around.

Quick update on Reg, has been an utter joy and fully integrated into the family, and has developed a proper character!! Most of it quite nice biggrin. Toilet training is going ok, when we're watching him. Only had his first vaccinations so being very careful where we take him out and about. Can't imagine life without him.

Just a few pictures of Reg on our out and about walk today. Growing fast and training is challenging, shall we say. But loving every minute. Can't imagine life without him.
