We had a very sick dog last week. After a walk. Sudden onset vomitting. Obvious severe abdominal pain. We got an emergency appt at the vets and ended up leaving her there. On a drip. Sedated. X-rayed. Nothing obvious on X-ray. Various jags. Back in the next day, Saturday. No better. Very poorly over weekend. Just lying there. Not eating.

On Monday blood tests confirmed pancreatitis. Another two days at the vets on a drip getting fluids in etc. Now back to her old self. Full of energy. On a low fat diet going ahead. It's a better christmas than it was looking like last week.

She'll need to cut out the booze as well.

Thanks for all comments.

Yes. A strange one. Out the blue. Main thing is we found out wat it was. We were initially wodering if she had eaten something perhaps poisoned. Hopefully a change in her diet to low fat eliminating all fatty treats should prevent any reoccurrence.
