Fluffy trouble maker

Hey, everybody. I have a Pomeranian Spitz dog. Name's Sam. It's a small, fluffy, cheerful lump of happiness. When you're sitting there pining, you look at Sam frolicking, and the pining goes right away. Lately, something strange has started to happen. Sam starts chewing on anything that falls on the floor, whether it's a pen or pencil, a plastic bottle, or whatever. I don't understand why this is happening. Thought I was teething, but no new teeth insight. Maybe it's revenge for something or it's trying to get attention. Perhaps someone will advise what to do in this situation. My little friend is going to turn into a pest at this rate.
