I guess it's nothing new but something which seems the norm these days, more so on social media, is headlines not really tying up with the main story. On Social media, you see a provocative headline and when you read the content, it's not really anything like the headline suggests but those who've not actually read it start ranting away. I kind of saw this headline in a similar fashion.Headline - "Covid: First UK case in pet dog confirmed by top vet"
First line - "A dog has TESTED positive for Covid - the first documented case of its kind in the UK - officials have confirmed"
Content - "The UK's Chief Veterinary Officer Christine Middlemiss said: "The infected dog was undergoing treatment for another unrelated condition and is now recovering."
To me this suggests a dog was at the vets because it was ill due to covid, been confirmed and you get the rest. Having read it, a dog was at the vets for something different....dog is now recovering from whatever the reason it was at the vets, dog got a positive Lateral Flow test, not confirmed case at all.
Sounds like cobblers to me!
