Pooing in the bath
Discussion
So I have a 13 yo maine coon that pretty much lives outside.
She was kept in at night as a youngster, but now she has the freedom to do what she likes. However, she has started sleeping indoors at night.
But since she has done this, she has started pooing in the bath in the middle of the night and then wakes me up to tell me. Most of time, after I've got up to clean it, she just goes out. Infuriating!
Any ideas on why she's started this, and more importantly, how to stop this?

Don't stop it, if you do she will go elsewhere and that will probably be on carpet. I have issue where cats are peeing on floors that are carpet which is driving us mad. It is annoying but far easier and cleaner having her do that. She will do it because of security primarily, could be fighting other cats or new cat on the scene.

Get her down the vets for a check out. Our cat started doing that about 6 months ago. Had to have him put down last week. Chances are there's something wrong. If we'd spotted it earlier he may of been still with us. Cat Hypertension.
