Well done for taking the lives of two innocent creatures.

They are mice. You are a rat though.

As said, mice.

Cannot be selective on what you catch, so ignore the hate.

Peanut butter also works a treat, as they step on the trap to nibble in the hole.

Okay, let me know where to send the little buggers if I catch a live one, sure you will be happy with them in your house, I will even pay postage or hand deliver, just need an address.

Go and glue yourself to the M25, you'll fit right in.

Definitely a mouse as said. A rat is much bigger even as a baby. Catching them is one thing. You need to find out why they are there and solve that or you will be laying traps forever

Its a clean kill in both cases. While I prefer to use no-kill traps and dump the little buggers several miles away, a trap is no less humane an end than a mouse would meet in the wild.

I quite regularly say this to our cat. She leaves them in the hallway or decaying under the kids beds.....arrrggghhhh.

How can an adult - I presume of at least sub-normal -> moderate intelligence, not know the difference between a mouse and rat?

Mouse, both are vermin. Find out how they're getting in and stuff some metal wool in there.

A quicker death than a cat “playing” with it before actually killing it.
