Can anyone identify this caterpillar?

It looks very similar to that of a ‘cabbage’ white although it doesn’t have any hairs.

This was a caterpillar I always found in my garden as a kid and now they have appeared again! I have popped a couple of pupae in a butterfly net so will hopefully get to find out in a couple of weeks.

So the challenge is can any of you guess correctly smile

Brilliant thanks! I will confirm with photos when they emerge.

I have spent so many hours googling caterpillars without being able to find that…

As a kid I used to see plants teeming with cabbage whites, not seen one for 30+ years now. Only see the occasional white butterfly too.
