From one end of the size spectrum to the other. This is the "big dog" in the family.

This is Boe the Welsh Section D that has the ability to manifest eye-watering bills better than any highly strung car I've ever owned. But, he's cool and keeps my daughter focussed on something she absolutely loves.

Gorgeous horse! Good idea for a thread. It’s not fair all the smaller beasts get the limelight. This is Bengi. Currently costing me more than all the cars put together. But, like you, it keeps my daughter happy and out of trouble.

Stunning. I'll get some better pics arranged and add if we are starting a thread.

I think between us we might be keeping Le Mieux afloat...

He looks sad in this one but he was out all night in the field for the first time ever and think he ate his own bodyweight in grass..

Hi, OP how about changing the name of the thread to ‘Post pictures of your horse’. Alternatively you could call it ‘Save yourself the effort of digging a massive pit and putting all your money in there by simply buying a horse’.

The first one’s probably snappier.

Yeah, not a bad idea however only the mods can do that. I'll start another and maybe the mods can merge / delete as appropriate.

Yep, they put my car ownership to shame in terms of cash munching!

Youngest Daughter has the horse bug, started off on wee ponies from 4 years old, now at 14 she is moving on from her first "big" pony Domino, lovely if somewhat stubborn, Appaloosa

To her new horse! 16.1 ISH, the matchy matchy is getting a makeover I'm told

Le Mieux is a racket, IMV, it's designed to drain all my adult money away from cars to single horse power activity. My older daughters complain that when they were her age they were told they needed to be older to learn to ride.... I do remind them they have had their share of indulgences

Great photos!

Don’t get me started on Le Mieux. I swear they must have such a laugh at their board meetings on how they can fleece the suffering fathers out there. Still, what price a happy daughter! And I’d rather she was wasting my money on Le Mieux rather than other less innocent stuff.

Superb. Today was jumping practice for her first show.

She needs back into lessons to run off bad habits. But ho hum.

Another £200 spent on le mieux ripoff strategy.

In the swings?

(Trampoline a sore subject for my 8 yr old- after having a year in th paddock with, last weekend he’s just realised what a great surface to rub his teeth on, to clean them if you will. Now sorts a load of scratches on the material and a hole. Trampoline provided ‘agricultural purpose’ for sun shade of sheep too last year. wink and obvs that isn’t a swing set but a salt lick hang frame)

I'm like you, could start a "seconds" outlet with the amount of the stuff here, more saddle pads, horse hats (why is that even a thing!), helmet hats, head collars, lead ropes and now we have Eddie the ISH "...Dad he's a horse not a pony... I need to get him full size stuff now as the pony Le Mieux is too small....."

So if anyone needs a swap shop or seconds - we could make quite the outlet here.

And the language... Matchy Matchy ! I'm off to the garage to potter around my cars before I go mad, will probably trip over dumped head collar or saddle pad while out there....

Rugs. It's the rugs with me. How many bloody rugs can one animal need? And our idiot is a big lad and destroyer of rugs. We've gone through loads since we bought him.

This is my daughter taking Bengi for a good workout. And rugs...don’t get me started on rugs! I’m sure it’s now getting to the point where my daughter is insisting that Bengi needs a specific rug for different days of the week. Oh yes, and saddle pads. We’re currently up to five. I think the horse has more saddle pads than I have pairs of socks!
