I've been giving the old boy yumove for a couple of years now and it really does work and I'm convinced the key ingredient which makes all the difference over other joint supplements (Glucosamine, Chondroitin etc) is the Green Lipped Mussel.

A quick look on eBay suggests I can buy Green Lipped Mussel tablets or capsules as a stand alone supplement for a fraction of the price of yumove.

I'm very wary about the efficacy or even genuineness of meds or supplements bought on line, has anyone got any recommendations for specific brands of Green Lipped Mussel tablets or capsules?

I'm not calling snake oil on yumove. Our dog has it, on the basis it won't hurt and might do some good (he has a problem with one leg) we also go to aqua therapy, for the same reasons.

So not sure, but I'll keep doing it. Working dog yumove is cheaper because it doesn't attract VAT

I'm convinced yumove does work and more effectively than other joint supplements which don't contain Green Lipped Mussel.

A while back we ran out of yumove and it took 4 days to get some more delivered, over the 4 days he could barely get out of bed in a morning or walk more than about 40 yards before refusing to go any further, within a couple of days of being back on it he was back to moving much more freely and enjoying three gentle 15-20 minute walks a day.

It's just the cost difference that has surprised me... I'm currently spending almost £20 a month to give him enough yumove to provide around 1000mg a day of GLM, I've seen established sellers on eBay with good feedback offering 1000 x 1000mg GLM tablets for £26, that's over 2 years supply for what I'm currently paying for around 1 months supply!

I'm surprised at the immediacy of the effect. I always consider Yumove as a long term thing rather than a pickmeup.

For £26 I think I would take a punt.

yes I was always under the impression that it was supposed to have an accumulative effect rather than an instant pick me up, but his deterioration and then subsequent recovery was very noticeable over the week he didn't have any.

Perhaps it was just coincidence and he'd picked up some other injury at just the same time as we ran out yumove

I know £26 isn't a lot, it's not so much the cost I'm worried about, more concerned about the safety and genuineness of the product on offer

This is the particular one I've seen, the tablets even look identical to yumove, cream coloured with flecks of brown in them.
