I've just watched the first episode of Age of the Big Cats on Sky

The producers used this footage of a snow leopard making a slight miscalculation when hunting a blue sheep on a cliff top.

The quality is better on TV.

Tough, aren't they?

I was amazed that it stayed with it's prey. Just shows how hard it is to catch prey and how tough those leopards are. Iirc it had a limp for a week or less, astonishing.

That is one hungry cat.
More impressed with the way it deliberately manage to be on top of the sheep on both hard landings.
Beautiful cat.

I saw a YT clip of a guy setting up an assault course for squirrels in his back garden which included a spring loaded platform near the end. Using high-def cameras he was able to slow it down and show the head rotations and ultra-quick calculations that these little things could do in mid-air to land optimally, it was fascinating. I have no doubt that more intelligent species like snow leopards can do this on a greater scale.

Hardy buggers for sure though.
