Long story short, some as-yet-unknown see you next tuesday has started believing it is acceptable to let their dog take its dumps on my driveway.

I know we have a thousand threads on deterring cats from doing the same, and I completely accept it isn’t the dog’s problem (though I do want to boot it up the arse, I don’t actually want to hurt it) so while I think about the best way to find and deal with the owner (and a boot up their arse is top of my list) are there any reasonable remedies?

eg would a liberal dousing of bleach be whiffy enough to discourage the dog while crimping one off?

I recently had a similar issue on my front garden.
Decided to try a few signs placed along the boundary, like this

Thought they wouldn’t work as it must be an unaccompanied/escaped dog because no owner would let their dog mess on someone else’s lawn.

Amazingly the dog understood the signs and the mess has stopped.

A sign saying "No fouling, CCTV in operation" should do it

I had similar recently so my lad put up a camera.

It turned out to be a fox.
