My misses made the fatal error one day of throwing bread on my garage roof for a seagull, all fairly innocent. But one morning,at 5.55am!!! there was a tapping noise, and it got progressively louder to the point you couldn't ignore it!,the two of us were walking around the house bleary eyed for a good half hour and we couldn't figure out where it was coming from??
Next morning same thing,5.50am!!For whatever reason this time i opened our bedroom blinds and a bloody huge seagull on our window sill,it sort of comically stared around and looked straight at me!!!Must be wanting fed the little sod!
Anyone had anything similar?Thing is too which flumoxed me a bit it was intelligent enough to chap at our front window too one morning,so it knew it was the same house!,the opposite side of the house from my garage where my misses fed it!
It's getting boody annoying now though and fairly regular!!

Stick bread on next doors garage roof so it bothers them and not you? No idea but I did have a chuckle as it reminded me of my pals dad super glueing chips on a workmates caravans roof when I was young.

It could be worse. This lady’s got condors!

If the gulls are there because they have been fed, maybe spread a few slices of bread with strong English mustard and leave them out. They won’t enjoy it and they might be put off from coming back for more.

My partner got st on by a seagul as we came out of the Grand Hotel in Scarborough a few years ago. All over her head, shoulders and bag.

That was very amusing the first time.

We also had crows or rooks continuously banging on our patio doors with their beas a couple of years ago. They apparantly didn't like their reflections early morning in the summer. They did it on several neighbours houses as well for about 4 weeks.

It made an awful racket.

I took this pic of one last week. It had a missing foot but it didn't prevent it getting the crusts I threw for them. Like them or not, when you watch their antics they're really quite impressive birds...which is easy for me to say as I don't live at the coast!

We are 60miles (as the seagull flies) to the coast and we still get the buggers every so often. So noisy.

Who me ?

But be careful. I'm from NW fishing folks and there's a lot of superstition in fishing communities concerning seagulls.
