Wasps, out in force.

In the past few days hordes of rather grumpy wasps have appeared, cheerfully irritating and stinging people. Seems unusually early, plus the striped little bds seem particularly vicious. A neighbour got stung on the arse by one that decided to get into bed with them!
Is it just south west Leicestershire, or more general.

I ve only heard jaspers in the south east. Stripey bds seems the accepted name.l(South West)

And almost all (6998) are totally harmless to humans. Even the ones we don't like, (yellow stinging buggers Vespula vulgaris) are very good at controlling other insect pests in the garden etc.LordGrover said:
