Don't know, but makes sense to ask on the web.

To be honest, I've never seen a spider consult a map - or ask directions. So, I guess they must.

Do you know there have been spider astronauts. And, as far as I know, they were the first American females in orbit, Arrabella and Anita -

This is a sensible q from the OP and one I've debated.

An acquaintance reckons she's put tippex dots on thier backs before releasing them whilst out on her dog walk. Quite a range she says. They've always found thier way back!!!

The only flaw would be if her partner was also tippexing spiders as a sort of wind up. Or maybe some sort of village coven tippexing ritual.

I’d love it if an arachnologist found one and thought they’d discovered a new species.

you can always tell which one's Boris, the impolite spider.

Unshaven, tattoos, an ASBO and a backwards baseball cap.

Spiders are ace. I had a huge dude living behind the fuse box for a few months and was genuinely quite sad when they died.

Albeit in a comedy manner, as they ended up on the stairs upside down doing a great ‘dead spider’ parody position.

You know it is very likely what you found on the stairs was just a discarded exoskeleton. The spider is probably now very much larger and sitting somewhere behind you watching.
