Married with two kids and Max became part of our family due to a number of reasons.

We felt we missed a third child and also for all our wellbeing and mental health we wanted to give our love and support and direction to another life. Pictures of our Max below

I was never a dog person. I had two bengals and unfortunately they passed away a few years ago.

But I would die for Max, he brings such joy and pleasure to us all and it always recripiocated. He is loyal to a tee and funny and loving at all times.

He was never a lockdown pet. It all happened by chance. We were in the park and we stopped when we saw a family with a dog. The dog by chance happened to be an English Bulldog, it was female.

She basically swamped my youngest with so much love we decided this breed was something else. We sought a reputable breeder and with that came a cost. Now the question I get asked by random strangers centers around the cost of this breed. Something I find both wierd and totally left field. To ask a stranger about the cost, someone you have barely uttered one word to previously puts me on my haunches in particular due to dog theft and we do not own this dog to show off.

Anyway I digress, this breed is awesome and despite the stinking farts, burps and odd running jump at 100mph. I would not have it any other way.

And the SMAX doing a very capable job. I have now bought a central divider so he has more height and bootspace

Max looks awesome.

An English/British Bulldog is a breed I'd always wanted to own in the past but never had one, however after having a Pug, now have a Frenchie and also added 2 Terriers, I'm a convert to Terriers, or at least a breed that can do alot more and with far less associated issues, by the way this is absolutely no criticism on your choice of dog as I do think they are awesome dogs and different breeds suit different people.

I'm sure Max will bring you years of joy and happiness.

Stunning dog. What a lovely face. I now need to not get one of these.
Already have a St Bernard and a Labradoodle. Dogs give so much love and ask nothing (Much)in return.

As long as you understand a bulldog is not a dog but a sort of pig/teddy bear hybrid you'll get along fine with one.

These are my 2nd and 3rd but my family's 8th & 9th over the last 70 years.

You need one in your life!!! No dog comes with quite such a unique personality. OCD, stubborn, daft, calming, loving, a complete bulldozer of a hound. Totally magnificent

And never forget that bulldogs don't believe in half measures - whether it is in giving love, in rumbustious playing, in sorrow, or in sheer cussedness ....

Oh yes, and they are much more intelligent than people give them credit for ....

I think Bullybutt is referring to the traits of bulldogs.

I have now read the original post. I now think he was referring to a Bulldog, not a poster!

Apologies

I was! Stubborn little buggers and selective hearing, although both traits I love in my dog. Not so much in people.

Wow, just come back to this post and some really nice posts.

Such majestic dogs others have. Yes, the bully breed is seen to be dense or dumb as some people say. But it's likely they have never owned one.

Max is fairly intelligent albeit boisterous but never a chore to have around!

Never get tired of seeing bulldog pics. They can be high maintenance with their folds, ears etc but still worth every moment of worry. Think I must pay for a couple of my vets’s holidays a year as well.
