Bees or wasps?

Sorry for the poor pics but didn’t want to get too close!

Can anyone tell me if these are bees or wasps? They’re not being a nuisance so far, but the sheer number of them and the sound they are making in the cavity is becoming a little unnerving!

Wasps. If you let them be they only stay for a few weeks then go.
The nests are never reused.
