Hi!

Just planted out some borders for my parents who own a 8 month old Cockapoo. I’d planted some foxgloves and a friend has mentioned they are poisonous for dogs!

Should I get rid and replace them? Or should they be ok as long as he doesn’t try and eat them? (Has left them alone so far!)

Any advice appreciated!

Poisonous to dogs, cats, and people - but great for bees.

We have them in our garden. Our cat ignores them. If your parents' dog ignores them then there shouldn't be a problem.

Here's a list of plants which are poisonous to dogs. https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/getting-a-dog-or-...

If you removed all these from your parents' garden then they'd be left with just a lawn. Given the fact that their dog isn't interested I think you're being over-cautious.

Thanks! That’s the kind of reply I was hoping for! 🙂

To be honest the only plants he seems interested in are ones you’ve just planted, he’s whipped out a few new plants my dad has just Planted when his backs turned 😁
