Lady in question is a very timid x JRT/Yorky. I rescued her over a year ago, and she's become part of our family. Inside our place she's a normal dog. But food wise, she's extremely spoiled, and leaves her food , expect when it's walkies. Before walkies she cleans her plate, as if there's another dog .She was one of a pair ( brother & sister). Could it be memory- or perhaps her memories of a partner returning to scoff.

When you have a rescue you never know what they bring with them.

I would say, unless this is causing distress, no need to worry

gary- not causing problems. More as amusement. It's as if she fears that any food she leaves will not be there when she returns. A cast back to her past life, when she had problems with her male littermate perhaps.
